Simon Limmer

CEO

Simon has an affinity with New Zealand primary industries and takes real pride in showcasing premium New Zealand brands to the world, having spent six years as Chief Executive of New Zealand’s largest meat exporter, Silver Fern Farms. Before this, Simon spent ten years at Zespri where he held various roles, producing and marketing kiwifruit internationally. Prior to that, Simon spent 14 years in various locations overseas working for French environmental services business, Veolia. He took over the reigns as CEO of Indevin from Duncan McFarlane in 2024.

Michelle Banfield

Chief People Officer

Michelle is qualified with a BA in Sociology, Education, Anthropology and Psychology and an LLB (Hons) in Employment Law from Victoria University. She spent the first 10 years of her career as an employment lawyer in NZ and London and brings more than 10 years’ experience in senior leadership roles at Fonterra, including General Manager of Culture. Michelle joined Indevin in 2023 and leads our People & Performance team.

Peter Terpstra

Chief Technology Officer

With a degree in mechanical engineering and a master in engineering management Peter has spent two decades working as a data scientist across the banking, technology, media and retail sectors. He uses these skills and experiences to ensure Indevin stays at the forefront of technology and production processes. He leads our Technology Team.

Gareth Insley

Chief Supply Officer

Gareth is a highly experienced leader and manager with over 30 years’ experience in logistics and supply chain management. Having joined Villa Maria as Chief Supply Chain Officer in 2018, he now also takes on the Indevin Supply Chain portfolio, using his broad depth of business acumen to support his team in reaching their full potential and continuing to achieve enviable results.

Patrick Materman

Director of Winegrowing

Starting in the wine industry as a Cellar Hand in 1990, Patrick worked his way up, accumulating an enormous amount of knowledge and experience from hands on winemaking and viticulture management to sales strategy and brand ambassador, executive management to mentoring, coaching and talent development. As our Director of Winegrowing, Patrick takes responsibility for Indevin’s winemaking and viticulture strategies, all with the goal of ensuring we are making the right wine for our global partners.

CATHY GAMLEN

Chief Operating Officer

Cathy is a highly experienced executive, having led large teams across multiple sectors for more than 25 years. Cathy has held senior national and global roles in McDonald's, Fonterra and Synlait; and was previously the Chief People Officer for Indevin before re-joining the business in March 2025 as Chief Operating Officer.

Alex Mamo

Chief Customer Officer

Alex is passionate about taking the best of New Zealand to the world. After starting a legal career with a large law firm, Alex has worked both as in-house counsel and in global sales roles, in both New Zealand with Fonterra and in Asia with an SGX-listed conglomerate. Alex is a father of three, part time junior rugby and cricket coach, and enjoys mountain biking and skiing.
